H-Wing Crash and Recovery

IMG_3590 * At the scene. The other party has fled, and I'm waiting for the towtruck. I believe I tagged the trailer hitch with my hood, which folded. It'll be a expensive 60-mile tow home.

IMG_4008 * At Insurance Collision Center. The TL in blue means Total Loss. One of the mechanics with a sense of humor added the Run Luke comment.

IMG_4018 * A top-down view of the rather bendy core member and support. The radiator is cracked, and having been left uncovered in the rain, parts are beginning to rust.

IMG_4035 * At Pier Collision. They've bent the hood back into place, and it doesn't look too bad.

IMG_4041 * Pier until recently used to be Gordon's, which has been in this location for 52 years.

IMG_4194 * Work is beginning- the fenders are off and being straightened.

IMG_4198 * Driver's side: the hood release cable, which has to be replaced, wrapped over the fender.

IMG_4212 * Pile o' parts- Jeff Bergdahl and I collected this bumper, hood, radiator and fan assemble. The hood came out of the box dented, and had to be swapped out with another.

IMG_4213 * The driver's-side outrigger panel, which holds the Headlight and turn signals. It is twisted a lot, and collecting rust.
